Board Trustee and
Committee Leadership participation in the AMHC:
The food cooperative urban agriculture
and small business development initiative is a Brighton
Corridor community redevelopment project. We are seeking leadership and highly
capable individuals to lead and participate in committees. There are four
business districts on the Northside each with organized and well represented
CDCs working towards revitalizing their neighborhood business districts.
Business Districts and responsible Community Development Corporations:
East Allegheny – Northside Leadership Conference
Central Northside – CNNC and MWSS
Allegheny West – Allegheny West Civic Council
Brighton Corridor – Allegheny Market House Cooperative
The AMHC mandate is to build
a market house cooperative and encourage member producer business development on
Brighten corridor. It is understood and encouraged that
stakeholders of business districts outside of the Brighton Corridor participate
in the development of the AMHC. AMHC requires any new members seeking leadership
roles in the development of the food cooperative portion of the initiative act
as fiduciaries of the AMHC as they would with any community development
corporation bound to a geographic area. The AMHC imitative works towards the
sustainable development of the Brighton Corridor community and is at the
forefront of providing food products to the Northside and Pittsburgh area
